Russia’s Promobot enters US market with autonomous service robots
MOSCOW, Jun 19 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Promobot, a manufacturer of autonomous service robots, has entered the U.S. market with a commissioned pre-order for more than 2,000 devices, the company said on Tuesday in a statement.
“The U.S. producer of LED light bulbs, US Lighting Group, has become a representative of Perm-headquartered Promobot in the U.S. The parties signed a contract, under which USLG will acquire exclusive rights for the sale of robots in the U.S. for U.S. $600,000 and make a pre-order for $56 million, comprising over 2,000 robots. The contract is signed for five years,” Promobot said.
The partners agreed to open a service center in the U.S. and a production line for electronics and components for Promobot machines. The main office of USLG in the city of Cleveland, in the state of Ohio, is being considered as the floor for partnership.
At present, several hundreds of Promobot machines work in more than 12 countries as administrators, promoters, hostesses and museum guides.
